Seletti’s Bic Lamp offers versatile placement options, functioning as a pendant lamp, a wall-mounted fixture, or a freestanding floor lamp.

The Bic Lamp can be hung, mounted, or used as a vertical standing lamp.
Seletti, an Italian design brand recognized for its diverse range from furniture to tableware, has unveiled a unique homage to a design classic: the Bic Cristal pen. To commemorate its 75th anniversary, Seletti has transformed the pen into a supersized lamp, replacing its traditional ink cartridge with a long LED-filled tube designed to illuminate various spaces, from living rooms to offices.
Simply named the Bic Lamp, this creation was introduced at the 2026 Maison&Objet show in Paris, an event akin to CES for interior designers. Seletti states the lamp is built at a 12:1 scale, resulting in a length just under six feet, considering the standard Bic Cristal pen measures approximately 5.8 inches with its cap. Beyond its enlarged size and the LED tube’s output of up to 2,400 lumens of light, the Bic Lamp is an almost identical replica, available in red, black, and blue.

While it can be suspended from a ceiling as a pendant, designer Mario Paroli also conceived the Bic Lamp for wall mounting or as a standalone floor lamp. Its US release is anticipated later this year, with an estimated price of $350, according to Fast Company.
