LG has previewed its 2026 Gram Pro laptop series, set for a full reveal at CES. This lineup includes what LG asserts is the “world’s lightest 17-inch RTX laptop.” Both the LG Gram Pro 17 (model 17Z90UR) and Gram Pro 16 (model 16Z90U) will incorporate a new ultralight “Aerominum material.” This LG-developed material is designed to decrease the laptop’s weight while simultaneously enhancing its strength and resistance to scratches.

The Gram Pro 17 will come equipped with a 2,560 x 1600 display and an Nvidia RTX 5050 laptop GPU, featuring 8GB of VRAM. LG suggests this configuration will deliver “ample performance for graphics-intensive tasks, content creation, and gaming.” However, it is unlikely to handle most contemporary games at maximum settings with smooth performance, indicating it is not intended as a primary gaming laptop. The exact weight of the Gram Pro 17 remains undisclosed, and it will initially be available exclusively in the US.
Details regarding the weight of the Gram Pro 16 are also pending. This model boasts a 2,880 x 1,800 OLED display and integrates Intel’s newest Core Ultra processors. LG states it will be “the lightest 16-inch laptop in its class to feature both on-device and cloud-based AI.” Pricing and release dates for both new laptops have not yet been disclosed, possibly reserved for the official CES launch.
