This post provides an update on recent personal and professional developments.
Having departed Meta in July 2023, the author initially sought a prolonged break from work. However, the opportunity at Bluesky, aligning with interests in React, open source, and social media, led to nearly two years of engagement. During this period, the author gained experience with React Native, contributed to app refinement, and undertook some engineering management responsibilities. Subsequently, the need for a genuine extended break became apparent, leading to a period of free-floating.
Currently in a transitional phase, the author reflects on the evolving landscape of software engineering and technical education. The future direction of the field remains unclear, and a definitive next career step has not yet emerged. For now, the approach is to observe industry trends as they unfold.
This blog has been reactivated, primarily featuring discussions on React Server Components. The motivation behind these posts was to create accessible references for concepts that previously lacked dedicated URLs. The author has written about various aspects of RSC, including progressive JSON. While there are still topics like atproto and Lean to explore, the focus remains on fully addressing React Server Components before moving on.
As indicated by the title, consulting services are now being offered.
These services focus on providing technical guidance in UI engineering, with a strong emphasis on React and React Native. The consultant does not engage in coding but can assist teams with architectural challenges, performance issues, in-depth technical problem-solving, or broader strategies for product and infrastructure development. Drawing on experience gained from working with skilled engineers at Meta and Bluesky, the consultant aims to share accumulated knowledge.
