Fast Company has included Firefox on its 2025 “Brands That Matter” list. This recognition highlights companies that achieve significant cultural impact and relevance beyond mere customer acquisition. For Firefox, this acknowledgment underscores its commitment to empowering users with agency and choice in their online experience.

During 2025, this commitment was evident in the features introduced. A notable example is Shake to Summarize, an AI-powered feature designed to combat information overload. Users can quickly generate a concise summary of a webpage with a shake or tap, simplifying information navigation. TIME Magazine recognized Shake to Summarize in its Best Inventions of 2025 list, noting its ability to transform the browser into an active assistant.

Security and privacy were also consistent priorities. Firefox promptly addressed high-severity vulnerabilities and strengthened protections to restrict tracking, helping users maintain control over their data.

Beyond its function as a browser, Firefox also represents a global community. Volunteers, contributors, and supporters played a role in developing various aspects, including accessibility improvements, support forums, and enhancements to the tab grouping experience. These contributions contribute to a calmer and more intuitive browsing experience. Choosing Firefox means joining a community dedicated to a more open and human internet.
