Dreame, a Chinese manufacturer recognized for its distinctive robot vacuums and floor cleaners, expanded its product line at CES 2026. Among its new offerings, which included a $700 floor lamp that also functions as a hair dryer, the most notable introduction was the company’s inaugural action camera. The Leaptic Cube features a design reminiscent of the DJI Osmo Nano and Insta360 Go Ultra. This design allows the compact camera to detach from its screen, enabling flexible mounting options while still providing a live view of the captured footage. While competing cameras typically offer a maximum 4K resolution, Dreame’s new camera boasts 8K capability.
The Leaptic Cube incorporates a 1/1.3-inch sensor, matching the size used in the DJI Osmo Nano, paired with a 155-degree wide-angle lens. This combination is designed to enhance light capture and improve video quality, even in low-light conditions. Recording at 8K resolution limits the camera’s frame rate to 30 frames per second (fps). However, the increased pixel count provides greater flexibility for cropping and reframing footage during post-production and supports the camera’s integrated stabilization features. When the resolution is reduced to 4K, the frame rate increases to 60fps with HDR, or up to 120fps for slow-motion capture.

Dreame states that the Cube’s battery life can be extended to approximately 220 minutes with the use of a magnetically attached external battery dock. The camera can be connected to its 2.27-inch screen in either a forward or backward orientation, allowing for easy selfie framing. Additional features include a proprietary wireless transmission system with a range of about 98 feet, AI-powered tracking and auto-framing, and an AI assistant for voice control when connected to a mobile application. Details regarding pricing and the official launch date for the Leaptic Cube have not yet been announced by Dreame.
