The landscape of technology is currently dominated by the rapid development and integration of AI products and Large Language Models (LLMs). As a leading cloud services provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has also entered this competitive field with its own offering.
What is Bedrock?
AWS’s artificial intelligence service is known as Bedrock. This platform is designed to facilitate the creation of generative AI applications.
Amazon Bedrock functions as a fully managed service, providing access to a selection of high-performing foundation models (FMs) from prominent AI companies, including AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Stability AI, and Amazon, all accessible through a unified API. This service offers a comprehensive suite of tools for developing generative AI applications, streamlining the process while ensuring data privacy and security.
Users can readily experiment with various FMs, customize them with their own datasets using methods like fine-tuning and retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and build managed agents to automate complex business operations. These tasks can range from managing travel bookings and processing insurance claims to developing advertising campaigns and inventory management, often without requiring extensive coding. As a serverless platform, Amazon Bedrock eliminates the need for infrastructure management, allowing for secure integration and deployment of generative AI solutions.
