The rapid evolution of AI applications is driving an urgent need for data center modernization. This strategic imperative requires comprehensive solutions across infrastructure, from hardware to software, to equip IT leaders with the necessary strategies and tools for the AI age.

Ofcom has imposed a £1.35 million fine on 8579 LLC, a pornographic content provider, for failing to implement adequate age verification systems on its websites. This marks Ofcom’s largest penalty under the Online Safety Act (OSA) to date. The regulator found that the company’s sites lacked “highly effective” methods to confirm UK visitors were over 18, thereby failing to prevent children from accessing adult content. An additional £50,000 fine was issued for non-compliance with information requests.

This post introduces RCCLX, an open-source, enhanced version of RCCL developed for AMD platforms and integrated with Torchcomms. It aims to accelerate AI innovation by improving GPU communication patterns. Key features include Direct Data Access (DDA) for lightweight intra-node collectives, which significantly boosts performance for large language model inference, and Low-Precision Collectives, optimized for AMD Instinct MI300/MI350 GPUs to reduce communication overhead and enhance scalability for AI training and inference workloads. These innovations offer substantial speedups and improved efficiency on AMD hardware.
