Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing work, enhancing productivity, fostering creativity, and driving significant business transformation. Google Cloud aims to deliver the benefits of Google AI to individuals, organizations, and businesses globally.
Currently, more than four million developers utilize Gemini, Google’s advanced AI model family. The swift adoption of Gemini, Imagen (an innovative image generation model), and Veo (a leading video generation model) has led to a twentyfold increase in Vertex AI usage over the last year. Additionally, Google Workspace provides over two billion AI assists monthly to business users, fundamentally changing daily workflows.
Google AI continues to advance, becoming more powerful, user-friendly, and cost-effective. At Google Cloud Next 25, significant updates were announced, including the introduction of a highly powerful chip, expanded support for generative media models, tools for creating and managing AI agents, and new features in Google Workspace and Google Agentspace. Over 500 examples of organizations leveraging Google AI for tangible impact were also presented.
Key Announcements from Google Cloud Next 25:
- Ironwood: The 7th-generation TPU, designed for inference, will be released later this year. It boasts five times more peak compute capacity and six times the high-bandwidth memory capacity compared to its predecessor.
- Expanded Generative Media: Vertex AI now includes Lyria, making it the only platform offering generative media models for video, image, speech, and music.
- Gemini in Workspace: Updates and new tools for Gemini in Workspace introduce more AI capabilities to daily applications such as Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Chat.
- Agentspace Enhancements: Agentspace has received updates to simplify the discovery, creation, and adoption of AI agents. The AI Agent Marketplace within Google Cloud Marketplace is also expanding, allowing users to easily find and acquire AI agents from various partners.
